# @velastack/postgres

PostgreSQL bindings for SvelteKit, built on the same [@velastack/kit](/docs/helpers/kit) plumbing as the PocketBase bindings. Not yet published — `@velastack/postgres` is not on npm.

#### handlePostgres

Configuration is planned to mirror [`handlePocketbase`](/docs/helpers/pocketbase), in `hooks.server.ts`:

```ts
import { handlePostgres } from '@velastack/postgres';
import { POSTGRES_CONNECTION_STRING } from '$app/env/private';

export const handle = handlePostgres({
    connectionString: POSTGRES_CONNECTION_STRING
})
```
